The other day, I was reading through the online edition of Digital Photo magazine and came across an article outlining Project 365, a daily photography assignment to capture some element of the day’s activity or lack thereof. The author, Meredith Winn, having previously taken on this challenge describes the difficulty in prioritizing her photography each day among myriad other distractions and responsibilities thrown at her by life. Despite all that, it seems she recognized a notable improvement in her composition, creativity and diversity of images; thoughts compelling enough to convince me to give it a try.
My aim is to break out of the familiar and comfortable processes and with luck, crank out a few more images for the portfolio. Your visits to the blog are most appreciated; and although Facebook, et al will be leveraged to some degree at first, there is a follow link to the right if you’d like the daily pic sent straight to your email.
As always, I welcome your thoughts and comments and best to you all in the new year.
